Teachers’ and Students’ Assessment of the Influence of School Rooms Acoustic Treatment on Their Performance and Wellbeing

The paper presents the latest research results concerning correlation between changes in room acoustics of school spaces and noticeable communication functioning students teachers at school. The primary covered by is second largest this type Poland. large number hard interior finishing made acoustic conditions building very unfavourable. measurements showed that rooms were noisy reverberant. measured values reverberation time T many 3–4 times higher than acceptable specified mandatory Polish standard PN-B-02151-4:2015-06. Also speech intelligibility transmission index was poor, extreme case STI = 0:31. This situation (very characteristic for most schools) became basis first such comprehensive treatment whole intervention allowed to meet PN-B-02151-4:2015-06 demands almost every accessible students. gave an excellent opportunity assess influence improved on teachers’ students’ performance wellbeing.
